“yes.”, i say….
“why write?”, is the question often asked. and the answer is, “because, feeling is my first language. but feelings cannot speak for themselves so i write, to hear them out."
“and what do you create?”, they ask…My work is feeling. My craft is writing, and also what I refer to as journey-telling, the unwrapping and unraveling of the layers of the experience in a story; the telling of the spaces in between; the 'almost’, and ‘not quite’, and ‘i tried’….
“feeling.”, i say.
